Reinventing Strategic Innovation 

Finding the ground where avocation and profession meet does not have to be a dream.

Transdisciplinarity enables intelligent travelling across disciplines and fields, as complex beings in a complex, networked world. Ambidextrous travellers build their unique sense of practice, and find paths that intersect across multiple domains of their lives.

Cecilia was invited to illustrate a practical book on deep change called Reinventing Strategic Innovation. This was a collaboration with Prof Kees Dorst, Dr Barbara Doran and Roger Watson to visualise the journeys of multiple colleagues and fellow travellers in artwork that blurred the boundaries between photography and illustration, the hand drawn and the digital, nature and fabrication, the world of organisations and the world of an artist.

The artwork is accompanied by a case study that gives insight into a journey of finding a place of deep grounding in an avocation that simultaneously nourishes and amplifies the professional career.
